Salesforce to Zoom Connector R1.1

At DataColada, our community-driven ethos inspires us to deliver free, high-impact apps that add both social and business value. During the challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic—when “Zoom” became a verb almost overnight—we released our initial R1 connector.

Today, we’re thrilled to unveil the significantly enhanced Salesforce to Zoom Connector R1.1, designed to empower businesses organizing Zoom meetings, webinars, and campaigns.

Empowering Engagement Through Seamless Integration
Whether you rely on Zoom for your business meetings, webinars, or campaign events, the enhanced Connector R1.1 is tailored to meet your needs:
  • Streamlined Campaign Management: Easily send out invites to campaign members, track attendance, and measure the duration of each participant’s engagement—ideal for tracking CPD points or participation metrics.
  • Efficient Follow-Up: Automatically send thank-you messages to attendees or nurture emails to registrants who couldn’t attend, ensuring no opportunity for engagement is lost.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The new Lightning Web Component (LWC) interface offers a modern, intuitive experience—replacing the older Visualforce/Apex pages—making it easier than ever to configure and manage your Zoom meetings from within Salesforce.
  • Robust Connectivity: With features like a dedicated button to test Zoom configuration and connectivity, and an auto-update of Zoom status based on user-initiated flows, managing your virtual engagements is now seamless and reliable.
Key Enhancements in R1.1
  1. New OAuth Integration:
    • We’ve transitioned from the discontinued JWT integration to a robust new OAuth integration with Zoom Workspace. This modern approach ensures enhanced security and a smoother integration process for your Salesforce and Zoom environment.
  2. New LWC Zoom Setting User Interface:
    • Our brand-new Lightning Web Component replaces the previous Visualforce/Apex pages, offering a sleek and user-friendly interface across both Salesforce Classic and Lightning experiences.
  3. Enhanced Testing & Connectivity:
    • A new button has been added to allow you to test your Zoom configuration and connectivity, giving you confidence that your integration is working perfectly.
  4. Auto-Update of Zoom Status:
    • The connector now auto-updates Zoom statuses based on user-initiated flows, ensuring your Salesforce records remain current with minimal manual intervention.
  5. Auto-Send Invites for Campaign Members:
    • Say goodbye to manual invitations! The connector automatically sends invites to members of a campaign, streamlining the process for scheduling your Zoom meetings.
