Accelerator: A person or thing that causes something to happen or develop more quickly

Undertaking a digital transformation project can be daunting, time-consuming, and comes with inherent risks.

When looking at the Salesforce platform, it’s easy to become overwhelmed with the choices available. How to decide on the best solution for your business? How do you manage the cost associated with the implementation?

This is where our quick-start solutions and ‘accelerators’ come in. DataColada’s ‘accelerators’ are the culmination of our many years of experience working with clients in Aged Care, Education, Membership, and Professional Services, bringing together knowledge from the many projects we have worked on.

The benefits of an ‘accelerator’ model to implement Salesforce include the following:

  • Shortened design phase: The initial design phase can be shortened by requiring gap analysis rather than lengthy discovery sessions
  • Early working solution: You can be presented with an early working solution that can help to inform decision making
  • Aid user adoption: End users get to test a solution much earlier in the process which can aid user adoption and greatly assist with training
  • Contain Costs: There is more certainty around the cost of the project with clearly defined packages and set pricing for standard features
  • Project risk management: Greater understanding of costs at the beginning of the project with clearly defined goals and objectives. Enhanced knowledge of features and capabilities of the platform with proven, demonstratable solutions

We have seen organisations spend considerable time and money building custom solutions for just one aspect of their business through a labour-intensive process, requiring lengthy design phases involving a lot of uncertainty and risk.

The DataColada approach is more streamlined. We can deliver working software sooner, businesses know exactly how much they will spend, and users are already familiar with the solution by the time you go live.

Project risk management is a critical part of any project. It involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could potentially lead to project failure. The goal is to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and with a minimum of disruption. Risk management begins by identifying potential risks, such as delays, cost overruns, or technical problems. The ‘accelerator’ model helps to mitigate some of these risk factors by removing uncertainty around solutions and costs and can go a long way towards ensuring that a project is successful.

We have ‘accelerators’ or quick-start solutions available for:

  • Not for profits
    • Fundraising-in-a-box
  • Aged Care
    • Residential Admissions
    • Retirement or Independent Living
    • Home Care
  • Professional Associations
    • Membership Organisations
  • Education
    • K-12 and Higher Education, RTOs
  • Legal Services
    • Legal Practices, In-house Corporate legal teams

The ‘accelerators’ are designed to work for a particular sector because they are developed through our experience and understanding of each sector’s specific needs and our experience in working with a wide range of community-based organisations in general.

For example, most Aged Care organisations offering Retirement Living share many standard processes and data, from Customer Enquiry and Sales to Property Maintenance. The ‘accelerator’ package provides an affordable, quick-start solution to manage the rental and sale of properties, property matches for prospects, contract generation, and case management for property maintenance while managing all interactions with the client in the Salesforce CRM.

If required, our Retirement Living ‘accelerator’ can work in synergy with our other aged care ‘accelerators’ for Home Care and Residential Admissions.

We have built an accelerator solution for Education sector clients by leveraging existing objects within the EDA framework, in combination with our own metadata-driven forms solution and payment processing to simplify and automate the processes associated with the Enquiry to Enrolment to Application stages of the student lifecycle.

Our Membership accelerator enables Membership Organisations and Professional Associations to manage the life cycle of their members. The accelerator provides an easy process for new and existing members to sign up and renew their membership subscriptions. It offers an optional secure self-service Member Portal with custom branding, surfacing rich content personalised for members.

We also have an internal practice dedicated to the not-for-profit sector with years of experience building solutions on the Salesforce Non-profit Success Pack (NPSP), resulting in a package we like to call Fundraising-in-a-box. We want to be the partner that helps our not-for-profit clients better serve their constituents and increase their impact without increasing their administrative costs.

This does not mean to say that customisations are not achievable, instead the ‘accelerator’ model provides some certainty around base costs and features so you have the freedom and tools required to make decisions about any additional features that are really needed.

Our ‘accelerator’ solutions are built in Salesforce, combined with our own DataColada and key AppExchange products where appropriate, and whilst our solutions are built using certain 3rd party tools (e.g. Form Assembly for Residential Admissions), we are happy to accommodate any 3rd party tool based on budget and preferences.

We can also expand the base ‘accelerator’ for each sector to incorporate Salesforce’s marketing tools such as Pardot at a set cost, to enable, for example, ongoing correspondence with retirement living residents or family members of residential admission residents, or any other constituent communications.

Finally, our experience in designing, building, and managing systems and applications ensures all our accelerator solutions have an extended life-cycle that goes beyond the initial delivery period.
