Salesforce Senior Technical Consultant

You will be responsible for the hands-on design and development of custom solutions on the force.com platform including significant work in Apex, Lightning components, VisualForce and integrations with other software systems. You will serve as the technical expert on Salesforce.com - Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Communities and the Force.com platform.

About You

You are a problem solver who works with Salesforce customers in the not for profit, education, health and other industries. The successful candidate will be able to handle the hands-on design and development of custom solutions on the force.com platform including significant work in Apex, Lightning components, VisualForce and integrations with other software systems. Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s requirements then applying industry best practices, deep experience and detailed knowledge of options.

Responsibilities

  • Direct involvement and/or oversight of developing business requirements, specifications, process flows, application design, application configuration, application development and testing.
  • Assess options and trade-offs with technology and feasibility and makes choices that fit the constraints of the project.
  • Work closely with clients in delivering solutions and act as the primary escalation point for technical enquires related to existing and new Salesforce enhancements
  • Participate in day-to-day production support activities, including but not limited to bug fixes, feature analysis and data analysis.
  • Release and Environment Management including sandbox usage planning, metadata and data migration, environment comparisons and version control.
  • Work on new development initiatives, as well as bug fixes and enhancements of the existing SFDC solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience (5 years preferred) in a hands-on technical/development role.
  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce development/administration.
  • One or more current Salesforce advanced certifications (Platform Developer 2, Architect certification(s), Sales/Service/Marketing Cloud).
  • Strong experience in designing, developing and implementing Salesforce applications including VisualForce and Apex, Lightning , Partner Portals and Lightning Communities.
  • Previous experience setting up and managing Salesforce code management and CI/CD processes with experience of relevant tools like Visual Studio Code and Jenkins.
  • Ability to participate/demonstrate work to client via presentation or verbally to articulate developed SFDC features and propose solutions.
  • Should be able to work on project and assist in functionality mapping, configuration, development, testing, building custom apps and integrations to and from SFDC.
  • A background in/understanding of Object-Oriented programming
  • Have worked as an architect/developer on multiple Salesforce projects
