The Challenge

The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide invaluable support and care to women and men experiencing breast cancer. The foundation’s work is based around the provision of nursing aid and they needed a solution whereby they could manage nurse availability and patient engagement. The need to monitor nursing resources and provide articles and learning resources for the nurses.

The Solution

We created reports and dashboards to aid nurse and patient visibility. With the use of the contact object and validation, data accuracy increased exponentially. Program coordinators used the Salesforce contacts to search for nurses in their area. The nurse user profile function allowed nurses to easily plan and add notation to their previous and future engagements. Activity tracking was used for nurse calls or emails from a nurse could be captured in Salesforce.

The Benefits

Using this solution program officers and nurses are now able to view and manage their time and patient engagements easily. Programme Officers can now plan and track nurse engagements with patients via reporting and dashboards. Those patient engagements can now be recorded which is a benefit to process improvement, funding justification, fundraising and compliance. Monitoring & Evaluations (M&E) and nurse education via e-learning modules is now possible as well as increased collaboration between the nurses.
