Indigenous Literacy Foundation
The Indigenous Literacy Foundations purpose is to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous families by not only gifting thousands of new culturally appropriate books – with a focus on early literacy and first language – but also by running programs to inspire the communities to tell and publish their own stories.
The Challenge
The ILF were struggling with managing their data and had a serious duplication issue as well as problems receipting various types of donations correctly. Much of this was due to poorly integrated third-party apps that were acting as silos. Due to this duplication and siloing ILF was unable to properly segment their data for marketing and were unable to properly manage event RSVP’s that came through Eventbrite that were sent via newsletters through Campaign Monitor.
The Solution
Campaign Monitor and Eventbrite were reconfigured or reintegrated to eliminate the silos and simplify data management. Customisation of opportunities and installing Payments2Us was put in-place to administer the receipting and management of the various donation types. We also created a customisable work around that resolved an issue affecting their major Great Book Swap event, allowing for donations to be visible online and therefore actionable.
The Benefits
ILF now have a single source of truth and are now able to run their major events and collate and collect the donation made. Their donation processes and receipting are now working and reliable. Further, duplicates are managed on a regular basis, leading to proper segmenting for the marketing team.
